If you write, you long for an outlet. Blogging has provided this for so many, and I’m surely no exception. This blog flexes between rants about bad behavior in people who know better (or at least they should for the position/status/money they have) and commentary on life’s many side roads. Topics include education, primarily Higher Education (colleges & universities), religion & spirituality, social commentary (from a liberal perspective), and life events from joyous and tragic.

Some of what I write may be construed as argumentative, or “in-your-face” and I don’t apologize for that. I’ve never understood why you have to watch bad behavior in people who surely know better, and pretend it’s all OK – just because they are “the pastor”, or “the principal”, or  “the banker” or “the CEO”, or <insert job title or community status here>. Speaking the truth should be not only allowed, but encouraged.

“Oh,” they will say; “but who’s truth?”

I look at it this way: if a grown man with the status of an emperor is walking around in public – nekkid as a jay-bird – while pretending that he has a wonderful new suit on,…people ought to be free to say, “Hey buddy – not-for-nothin’,…but you’re naked – and I’m thinking you need to cover that stuff up.” (or something similar).

While the truth; the WHOLE truth, and nothing but the truth often has a her-story, his-story and the truth aspect to it, some things are just as plain as the nose on your face (or as obvious as the Emperor’s naked butt).

On this blog, you just never know what subject might inspire the next post. I hope you enjoy the variety.
